About JoElle Martín –
As a young girl, JoElle loved fairytales. She believed in fairies, magic, and the power of her own imagination. She enjoyed writing assignments in school. Her teachers often commented on her natural writing ability.
In high school she competed in Journalism and won a number of awards, including qualifying for state in feature writing.
JoElle’s first paid published piece was for a local newspaper.
JoElle regularly wrote feature stories of community interest (volunteering, homeschooling, the Boy Scouts Explorer Program, etc) for the San Jose Mercury News. She was also a staff writer for the
She was a contributing writer for the California Homeschool News. Eventually she was offered the position of Regional Editor for the homeschool newsletter.
After her son, at the tender age of eighteen, achieved his life goal of becoming a professional firefighter, JoElle knew it was time to finally pursue her own dream of writing a novel.
