JoElle Martín was born in Western Oregon. She has since lived in Guadalajara México, Texas, and the San Francisco Bay Area. She currently resides in Northern Nevada with her husband of over 25 years.

When JoElle isn't writing she likes to go hiking, stargaze, spend time with her family, and roam the country.

About JoElle Martín –

As a young girl, JoElle loved fairytales. She believed in fairies, magic, and the power of her own imagination. She enjoyed writing assignments in school. Her teachers often commented on her natural writing ability.

In high school she competed in Journalism and won a number of awards, including qualifying for state in feature writing.

JoElle’s first paid published piece was for a local newspaper.

JoElle regularly wrote feature stories of community interest (volunteering, homeschooling, the Boy Scouts Explorer Program, etc) for the San Jose Mercury News. She was also a staff writer for the San Jose bilingual newspaper El Observador.

She was a contributing writer for the California Homeschool News. Eventually she was offered the position of Regional Editor for the homeschool newsletter.

After her son, at the tender age of eighteen, achieved his life goal of becoming a professional firefighter, JoElle knew it was time to finally pursue her own dream of writing a novel.

A year later she had finished the manuscript to “A Bridge in the Forest”. Once JoElle began writing fantasy she couldn’t stop. Her novel became the four book “Dreamer’s Forest” series.

She has also completed the fantasy/paranormal romance “Julianne’s Wish”, which she is currently editing. She has three other manuscripts in progress, “Morgan’s Mistake”, “Rebecca’s Project”, and “Rochelle’s Mirror”.

JoElle continues to write non-fiction as well. She is a staff writer for The Modern Pagan (www.themodernpagan.net) and she regularly contributes articles to Driver Health magazine (http://driverhealth.org/DH/) , under the byline Marie Rodriguez.
